Masks or No Masks
Brad Fregger

There has been so much controversy around this issue that I decided to do some research of my own. However, I did come at the issue with a bias, I beleived that masks provided no protection of the COVID-19 virus.

Regardless, there were five critical questions that I believed needed answering. With the extreme bias in the media regarding masks I knew that I'd have to do some deep research to uncover reliable opposing views. The questions that I believed needed to be answered are:

  • How effective are masks in limiting the spread of the COVID-19 virus?
  • How should we protect the elderly and others with serious comorbidities?
  • What are the negatives resulting from the mask requirement?
  • When is it appropriate to wear a mask?
  • When is it unreasonable and inappropriate to wear a mask?

In addition,

In the addendum, I also answered the question, "What are the chances of catching COVID-19 from a surface?"
